The Police – The Police (2007)

Old school band “The Police” reunites and brings us a greatist hits album “The Police”. This is a two disc album so plenty of greatist hits from them to enjoy. The album is going to be released on tehe 11th of June. Again this is another Saw release so should expect great sound quality from them anyway this would be a great album for those Police fans out there!

In early 2007, reports surfaced that the trio would reunite for a tour to mark their 30th anniversary, over 20 years since their ‘final’ split in summer 1986. The concerts would coincide with Universal Music (current owners of the A&M label) re-releasing some material from the band’s back catalog. The following statement was released on behalf of the band by a spokesperson at Interscope Geffen A&M Records and posted on Sting’s official website: “As the 30th anniversary of the first Police single approaches, discussions have been underway as to how this will be commemorated. While we can confirm
that there will indeed be something special done to mark the occasion, the depth of the band’s involvement still remains undetermined.”

On January 22nd, 2007, the punk wave magazine Side-Line broke the story that The Police would reunite for the Grammys, adding that the song performed would be “Roxanne”. All this information appeared to be correct. Side-Line also announced in its news coverage that The Police were to embark on a massive tour bringing them to cities all over the world. Billboard magazine later on confirmed the rumours, quoting Andy Summers who had discussed earlier in 2006 how the band could have continued post-Synchronicity: “The more rational approach would have been, ‘OK, Sting, go make a solo record, and let’s get back together in two or three years,’ ” he said. “I’m certain we could have done that. Of course we could have. We were definitely not in a creative dry space. We could have easily carried on, and we could probably still
be there. That wasn’t to be our fate. It went in another way. I regret we never paid it off with a last tour.”

Inside sources have admitted that the group had in fact begun tour rehearsals in Vancouver, British Columbia, and
that further details on the reunion tour would be announced in February, including a performance at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards on February 11, 2007. A local radio station, Rock101, reported this information to the general public on January 24, 2007. There have been numerous sightings of the group and their entourage in the Vancouver area as expectation builds of a pending reunion tour.

he Police opened the 49th Annual Grammy Awards on 11 February 2007 in Los Angeles, California, announcing “We are The Police and we’re back!” before launching into “Roxanne.” A&M Records, the band’s record company, is promoting the current 2007-2008 reunion tour as the 30th anniversary of the release of their first single and not indeed that of the band’s creation. ABC reported, “This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of ‘Roxanne,’ the single that broke the Police in the United States.” The single was released in April 1978.

The Police opened their Reunion Tour in Vancouver on May 28 in front of 22,000 delighted fans at one of two nearly
sold-out concerts. Opening with “Message in a Bottle” Sting, and bandmates Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers
served up two hours of blockbuster hits much to the excitement of all who attended. The Police will be on tour for approximately a year, beginning with North America and eventually crossing over to Europe.

James Brown – Jazz (2007)

Group OSC brings us an album release “Jazz” from the Godfather of soul James Brown. The legend died almost 6 months ago now on christmas day, 06. Alot of people like James Brown and would probably check the album out. I think this is a like one of those greatist hits kind of albums with remixs anyway enjoy!

It was no secret the Godfather of Soul loved jazz. Over six decades of recording, JB touched on jazz in a variety of projects: grooving with Louie Bellson’s big band, a cocktail trio, or his own jazz-funk orchestra, which inroduced soloists Maceo Parker, Alfred Ellis, Fred Wesley and others. This collection brings together some of the best of those tracks with extended solos and revealing alternate mixes.

James Joseph Brown (May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006), commonly referred to as “The Godfather of Soul” and “The Hardest Working Man in Show Business,” was an American entertainerpopular music. Masters Of Horror The Screwfly Solution 2006 DVDSCR XviD-FiCO

I won’t be writing a lot about this release, but it may be of interest of some readers so here’s just a short post. Masters Of Horror released in a new dvd screener by FiCO is a horror entitled as “The Screwfly Solution”. This is a part of quite popular tv show which aired at the end of 2006. There’s nothing extremely interesting about this release, it’s a classic low budget title and the dvd screener comes in a usual quality…

Movie plot: When a virus overcomes the male population of the United States and turns them into murderous psychopaths, a mother and daughter escape across a country where their safety is in question.

Knocked Up CAM XviD-CAMERA

Here we have a small update for the the movie Knocked Up. The same group who put out the VCD version (CAMERA) have also released an Xvid version that should be more palatable for most of you as VCD is an outdated technology for most of us. If you look at the sample of the release you will see that it quite good for a CAM and is defiantly watchable however that’s only half the story as the sound is still captured using the on board mic on the camera so expect the quality of this to be really low. Still if you really can’t wait for a SCREENER, R5 or even a TS release then this should sufficient to quench your thirst for now.

Teacher on trial after cyberporn school lesson

We all know that the world of internet anonymity, especially this sexual one may be a bit dangerous. But you can be in contact with adult content even on places where you would never expect it: A US judge has ordered a retrial of a schoolteacher found guilty of computer porn charges after a sustained campaign by internet specialists proclaiming her innocence. Julie Amero, 40, was convicted in January of causing a series of sex advertisements to pop up on a classroom computer, which were seen by pupils in October 2004. She faces up to 40 years in jail. But the defence filed a motion for a retrial, and at a sentencing hearing on Wednesday Judge Hillary Strackbein granted the application. The prosecution at the trial in Connecticut had alleged Amero must have clicked on porn websites for the pop-ups to begin appearing. But after the trial 28 computer science academics in the state sought to prove that the rapid-fire sequence could have appeared automatically.

Sympathetic campaigners argue such pop-ups are one of the scourges of the internet and say she is the victim of a witchhunt. The computer was sent to a state laboratory after the trial, and Judge Strackbein said its report might contradict evidence presented by the state computer expert, a police detective. “The jury may have relied, at least in part, on that faulty information.” The prosecution did not oppose the defence motion for a retrial. Neither the prosecution nor the jury appear to have been fully aware of the extent to which computers can be infiltrated, especially old ones that do not have firewall protection. I think this is little overreacted – honestly, how many of you can see an accidental popup on your company from time to time? And noone think you are a perv…

Mythbusters S05E11 DSR XViD-DGAS

And here is the Wednesday episode of my favorite show MythBusters . The episode is all based on trucking and big-rig folklore, and is titled ‘Big Rig Myths’ . This episode is currently the only one where all of the myths tested were confirmed. The myths that the crew tests are as follows: Exploding Tire of Death. Drafting For Money, Knight Rider Ramp, Cyclists Drafting a Big Rig.

In Exploding Tire of Death Adam and Jamie try to find out if an exploding truck tire can kill. Meanwhile, Kari, Tory and Grant investigate another fuel efficiency fable – Drafting for money.

Knocked Up CAM VCD-CAMERA

Here’s finally a movie, which will become a legend. Knocked Up is the search query which dominates NewTorrents most searched terms for more than two weeks, that’s how long were people awaiting the first release of this movie. Already ranked as #125 best at IMDB, this comedy has A LOT to offer. As someone said in the review, it may easily become the best comedy of this summer, if not of the whole year. The movie already earned more than whopping $35 million in box offices. It’s little bad we had to wait one whole week for this first version, which isn’t even in XviD and the quality is not too good, but more will come for sure.

On the heels of 2005’s blockbuster “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” writer/director Judd Apatow again mines hilarity from the relatably human in a comedy about a one-night stand with unexpected consequences: “Knocked Up.” Katherine Heigl (”Grey’s Anatomy,” “Roswell”) joins Virgin alums Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann for a comic look about the best thing that will ever ruin your best-laid plans: parenthood.

Allison Scott (Heigl) is an up-and-c oming entertainment journalist whose 24-year-old life is on the fast track. But it gets seriously derailed when a drunken one-nighter with slacker Ben Stone (Rogen) results in an unwanted pregnancy. Faced with the prospect of going it alone or getting to know the baby’s father, Allison decides to give the lovable doof a chance. An overgrown kid who has no desire to settle down, Ben learns that he has a big decision to make with his kid’s mom-to-be: will he hit the road or stay in the picture? Courting a woman you’ve just “Knocked Up,” however, proves to be a little difficult when the two try their hands at dating. As they discover more about one another, it becomes painfully obvious that they’re not the soul mates they’d hoped they might be.

With Allison’s harried sister Debbie (Mann) and hen-pecked brother-in-law Pete (Rudd) the only parenting role models the young lovers have, things get even more confusing. Should they raise the baby together? What makes a happy lifetime partnership after all? A couple of drinks and one wild night later, they’ve got nine confusing months to figure it out…
