Fabolous – From Nothin’ To Somethin’ (2007)

It’s time to have another rap album on here, this one is from Fabolous with his new album coming out soon “From Nothin’ to Something’. This will be his fouth studio album which is due to be released on the 12th of June. The album has alot of featured artists such as Akon, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, T-Pain etc. the dude has worked with alot of big artists in the urban music game with big producers such as Timbaland, Akon, JD, Just Blaze (I hate this “producer”, the guy samples old school music for new and current waste artists). Anyway i enjoyed fabolous’ previous album “Real Talk” i hope it will be good, but judging from the featured artists it may just seem like any other rap/hiphop album but i may be wrong.

From Nothin’ to Somethin” is Fabolous’ fourth studio album, to be released on June 12, 2007. Def Jam has confirmed that the first single from the album will be “Diamonds”, featuring Young Jeezy. The song has already started playing on local radio stations. The second single is set to be “Return of the Hustle”, featuring Swizz Beatz).

Def Jam has pushed back the release date five times, starting with December 19 to February 27, then to March 23, then to April 17, next to May 18, and finally to June 12 (as listed on the Def Jam Records website). XXL ranked From Nothin’ to Somethin’ the eighth most anticipated album of 2007.

Despite a three-year gap since his last album, Real Talk, the Brooklyn emcee has appeared on sporadic projects, including recordings by DJ Clue, Christina Milian, and Syleena Johnson.Fabolous has shot videos for “Return of the Hustle” with Swizz Beatz, “Diamonds” with Young Jeezy, and “Make Me Better” with Ne-Yo. As of May 31, 2007, the album has been leaked to the internet.

John David Jackson (born November 18, 1979 [1]), better known as Fabolous, is a Grammy-nominated rapper of African-American and Dominican descent from Brooklyn who became a mainstream star after his debut single “Can’t Deny It” (a remake of Tupac Shakur’s “Ambitionz Az a Ridah” from All Eyez on Me) from 2001 (see 2001 in music). Since then, he has had several additional successful releases.

Starsky and Hutch DVDRip x264 AC3-JAVLiU

A very nice comedy came online by a group that just began releasing x264 coded films. I was surprised by the quality of the screenshots and I think that this might be the future of DVDRiP’s. I’m totally unknown with all this codec thing, but I can tell that the quality difference is visible. This film has a very known cast, starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Snoop Dogg, Vince Vaughn, Amy Smart and Carmen Electra. I remember seeing this film by the time it was out on DVD and it introduced me to the old classic series with the same name. This is a really fine release in 2CD’s with AC3 sound. Enjoy!

Set in the 1970s in a metropolis called “Bay City,” this is the tale of two police detective partners, Ken “Hutch” Hutchinson (Wilson), and Dave Starsky (Stiller), who always seem to get the toughest cases from their boss, Captain Dobey, rely on omniscient street informer Huggy Bear (Dogg) and race to the scene of the crimes in their souped-up 1974 Ford Torino hot rod, telling the story of their first big case (as a prequel to the TV show), which involved a former college campus drug dealer (Vaughn) who went on to become a white collar criminal (Electra plays Hutch’s girlfriend).

Marine Sharpshooter 3-AVENGED

AVENGED giving me the third update of the day. Apparently in its third incarnation Marine Sharpshooter allows you to snipe your way through the African jungle. I’ve never heard of this game and apparently neither have the game developers as there is no homepage for it and very little information about it on the web. Screenshots are also non existent so i guess this will be a case of downloading the release to find out of this is any good. The game looks extremly budget and what does it say about a game when the developer doesnt even have a page about it? Nevertheless the release comes on one CD and with no copy protection. It’s 50/50 for me but should be worth it for all you wannabee snipers out there.

Defcon v1.42 WinAll Cracked-CRD

Now here’s a game that everyone should play, called Defcon: Everybody dies it is a real-time strategy game that allows you to control the Nuclear arsenal of one of six territory’s. Released by group CRUDE (often abbreviated to CRD) this morning. This group usually release Card and Sudoko type stuff but as i was looking through there releases i saw this little Gem. Defcon is heavily influenced by movies such as WarGames and Fail-Safe and is set sometime during the cold war. It uses a very stylized presentation that gives the impression of 80’s Vector graphics, something that a person in a Silo would be staring at. The death toll in a typical “round” runs into the millions for all sides and the game represents these deaths in very cold way, just through an ever rising counter. The winner is whoever survives with the lowest death toll. The game does a great job of making you feel like your in a Silo, through the music, sound effects and graphics.

Already released by group PSYFER a while back but here we have the updated version which includes bug fixes and small number of new features. The main focus of this game is only multiplayer but there is A.I. so you can play by yourself. The included crack disables the connection to official servers but direct play using I.P. still works so you can still challenge each other. At well under 100mb this game is well worth the download and it wont kill your bandwidth. In the included Cracktro CRUDE say they want to keep this release in the scene but this game is worth sharing! Works great though, thanks fellas! :P

BTW they have a very nice NFO, don’t you agree?

DEFCON is an online, competitive, multiplayer strategy game based around the theme of global thermonuclear war. The game, inspired by the 1983 cult-classic Wargames, superbly evokes the tension, paranoia and suspicion surrounding the Cold War era. The player assumes the role of a General hidden deep within an underground bunker, his mission being to successfully exterminate the enemy’s civilian population whilst simultaneously disabling the enemy’s ability to retaliate. Desperate attempts must be made to form fast, tactical alliances – alliances that may at any moment break-down to become treacherous and very deadly betrayals.

Marvel Trading Card Game CLONEDVD-PROCYON

Its been a slow few days for the the game scene and the scene in general, but here’s a game that might be worth checking out. Brought to us by the “special” people at PROCYON it is entitled the Marvel Trading Card Game. Its alot different than previous marvel action/adventure games. As the title implies you have to collect trading cards of your favourite Marvel characters which include Spideman, The Hulk and the X-Men gang. You have to “battle” using your cards to acquire newer and more powerful cards allowing you to advance in the game. As you can tell by the screenshots below the game keeps a very comic book style to its graphics which i have to say i like but really all this video game is about is using an old card game formula and slapping on some pretty graphics and Marvel characters. Reminds me of the Pokemon trading card game i played when i was school. Ah memory’s…

Vacancy R5 LINE XViD-ViSUAL

So it won’t be that bad day after all – thanks to group ViSUAL which released an R5 rip of a really good thriller Vacancy. I know many people have been waiting for this and it’s finally here in good quality. It has been more than month from the first cam of this movie, but this is a huge step forward, you can easily watch this great flick now without missing something. The image is little dark, but still very good. Check samples at the bottom.

This riveting thriller features Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale as a couple whose car breaks down, stranding them at a very dangerous hotel. Director Nimrod Antal carefully builds the suspense as the film gradually leads to horror when the hotel turns out to be a snuff film operation, with cameras everywhere and lots of truly horrific videos of past murders (shot in the same room) lying atop the TV set. The couple needs to think fast before they become the next victims.

Beckinsale and Wilson play down their star wattage and get truly involved in their change-of-pace roles, sucking the audience into their situation far deeper than one might think possible. Meticulous use of the tawdry, low-rent motel setting–lots of rotted wood, stained wallpaper, and ugly sofas–provides a realistic sense of space. Intelligently crafted and unfolding practically in real time, VACANCY is edge-of-the-seat all the way. Other strong points are the punchy score from Paul Haslinger, a PSYCHO-ish credit sequence, a creepy Frank Whaley as the hotel clerk, and lots of references to films like TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER. Thanks to all this care and attention, the scares linger longer than you might expect, so don’t watch it alone.

Last.fm, StumbleUpon, Photobucket: sold

The last days were pretty boring in the world of scene releases – on the contrary, they were pretty interesting if we talk about new acquisitions and websites sales. Social music site Last.fm has been bought by US media giant CBS Corporation for $280m (£140m). The online network allows users to connect with other listeners with similar music tastes, to custom-build their own radio stations and to watch music video-clips. It was founded in the UK five years ago and it now has more than 15 million active users. As part of the deal, Last.fm’s managing team will remain in place and the site will maintain its own separate identity.

Another interesting project with a huge user base was bought by eBay Incorporated which has announced it has acquired StumbleUpon, an early-stage company that helps people discover and share content online, for an aggregate transaction value of approximately $75 million. StumbleUpon, currently servicing 2.3 million users, gives people a new way to discover relevant and entertaining content based on personal preferences and community recommendations. The San Francisco-based company was founded in 2001 and has since become one of the most popular new ways to discover Web sites, people, videos, product information, communities and other online content based on personal interests. Driven by word-of-mouth, the StumbleUpon community has grown 150% year over year and delivers approximately five million new recommendations.

Third big project which has new owners after yesterday is popular Photobucket. This online photo sharing, storage and creativity Web site is being acquired by Fox Interactive Media, a division of News Corporation. In a separate deal, News Corporation said it is also acquiring real-time video and audio editing Web site Flektor Incorporated. Terms of both deals were not disclosed. Denver-based Photobucket has more than 42 million users, with an estimated 47% who then link their photos to social networks such as MySpace.com, according to the company.

The last two acquisitions were made by Google: anti-malware firm Green Border for an undisclosed sum. A Google spokesperson said the company will not disclose additional terms of the deal. GreenBorder produces technology that separates the browser context from the operating system context by creating what is essentially a virtualized browser instance that can then be used to identify malware without impacting the underlying system. Finaly, the last interesting change was made to FeedBurner which is managing our RSS feed. Rumors about Google acquiring RSS management company Feedburner from last week are now confirmed according to a source close to the deal. Feedburner is in the closing stages of being acquired by Google for around $100 million. The deal is all cash and mostly upfront, according to our source, although the founders will be locked in for a couple of years. The company was founded in 2003 and has raised just $10 million in capital over two rounds. It looks that every popular website with noticeable amount of users is being sold to someone bigger, more powerful and well-known. What are you waiting for, start up your HTML editor and build your online kingdom!
