I thought that checking if something new was released could be good before going to bed: The only movie that came online few moments ago is “Pervert!” that has the motto: Sex! Death! Freedom!… It seems to be a horror/comedy and I will grab it just because my whole bandwidth is free tonight. The first comment I have read at IMDB was interesting and this might be funny one, on the other hand it might be a big disappointment, but who cares when it’s free.

A word. What is the pervert? Sex freak, deranged degenerate, disturbed diabolical psychotic subversive embracer of things both erotic and erratic. What is to pervert? The twist of an object, phrase or ideal in such a way it was never intended or even imagined. Who is the pervert? Why, that’s another story altogether… A young man (Sean Andrews as “James”) comes to spend the summer at the remote desert ranch of his father (Darrell Sandeen as “Hezekiah”) in hopes of repairing their estranged relationship only to find that he’s become a psychotic madman. But who is responsible for the bizarre murders James has uncovered? Hezekiah pins the blame on his son, and after a series of unexplainable incidents, James begins to doubt his own suspicions. Little does he know that the real killer lurks just under his nose!

The best movie group in the scene brought a great movie back online. “Perfume The Story of a Murderer” was a great book and the movie is also nice played with Dustin Hoffman in the second main role. I recommend this to people who missed the previous pretty good release by DMT. DiAMOND reveals that there was something wrong with the screen… read NFO. People who have read the book and think that this is crap should still watch the movie and see how nice it was brought to screen. Enjoy!

Group PROCYON released a new adventure just a few moments ago. Little strange name Penumbra Overture can already point some players to the fact it is an adventure. This adventure is little special though: it is a horror one, and people who played the demo could confirm that you will get frightened of it easily. It works on similar shocking system as Silent Hill and similar titles, where something scary appears in the most unexpected moment. Ind if you still find adventures boring, grab the NFO somewhere, these guys went totally mad once again.

Penumbra: Overture is a first person adventure game which focuses on story, immersion and puzzles. Instead of using violence to progress the player has to use his/her wits to guide Philip on his quest to unravel the past.

Played from a first person viewpoint, Penumbra is very different from other adventure games. Not only is it powered by a 3D engine utilising cutting edge technology, it also has an advanced physics system which allow for a never before seen environment interaction. The player can open drawers, pull levers, pick up objects and more using natural mouse movements creating a highly interactive and immersive game world.

The weapon system differs from your average game; swinging a melee weapon is done using the mouse which increases the realistic feel of combat. Fighting enemies is not something best done with brute force though, in most situations fighting is a last resort and the player is often better of using his/her wits. The AI of the enemies will also do its best to hunt and scare the player. The creatures encountered can break down doors, use group co-ordination, interact with the physics and more.

Penumbra: Overture will keep players on the edge as they have to explore scary and immersive environments never knowing what is behind the next corner. The world is detailed, graphical as well as a story wise making the player feel part of the world as secrets are uncovered.

Like all good nightmares, Philip’s begins with something all too real – his mother’s death. The days following the funeral are characterized by nothing, save for an incessant feeling of abandonment. Until, that is, he receives a letter from a dead man. Philip’s father left before he was born, taking his reasons with him. Now, here he is, opening up the door from beyond the grave. That door leads to more questions, and those questions lead to Greenland. Philip follows the clues – they’re all he has left.

Now that’s what I call a good compilation! The Best Rock Ballads Ever is a huge release of 4 albums published by group BFHMP3. It basically covers all important rock bands, singers and music groups, from legends as ZZ Top or Judas Priest to “new” rockers as Coldplay or Lenny Kravitz.

The album was released only in Poland so you won’t have too much success if you would like to buy it at Amazon or somewhere else – current release is the only way of getting it for most of you. This is definitely a must have for everyone.

Ahead of new mobile Core 2 Duos expected in May, Intel on Wednesday announced that it will begin producing its next-generation Penryn family of processors in the second half of this year and outlined its new Nehalem chip architecture expected in 2008. The six new “Penryn” processors, including both dual- and quad-core variations, will benefit from enhancements to the Intel Core microarchitecture and also Intel’s new 45nm Hi-k process technology, which the company claims results in higher performance and more energy-efficient processors. Penryn’s new microarchitecture enhancements will bring extended battery life for mobile devices, enhanced performance for single-threaded applications, new SIMD extensions for better performance, enhanced virtualization, more instruction executions per clock cycle, larger on-chip caches, and higher processor speeds of more than 3GHz, the Santa Clara-company claimed.

Looking beyond Penryn, Intel said it will deliver its Nehalem architecture in 2008 as another step in Intel’s “tick-tock” product strategy and cadence to deliver a new process technology with either an enhanced microarchitecture or entirely new microarchitecture every year. The next-generation Nehalem microarchitecture will offer dynamically managed cores, threads, cache, interfaces and power as well as simultaneous multi-threading, which Intel said is similar to its Hyper-threading technology. Nehalem will also deliver new Intel SSE4 and ATA instruction set architecture additions and superior multi-level shared caching. It will also feature a leap in processing with support for more than 16 threads and up to 8 cores as well as an integrated memory controllers and a high-performance integrated graphics engine for client.
