Happy New Year!

Another great year has come to an end. I hope 2006 was a good year for you, as it definately was a good year for me. Rlslog has gained a lot of popularity during this time as well. It will soon be 1 year old, and I’m really proud of what it has grown into. We’ve easily reached 25 000 unique visitors daily in the last couple of weeks – I know tons of people who would do anything to get such an audience to their site.

I also want to thank all those who helped make this site what it is day. This includes Kevin, Matej, and Jan who helped prepare the articles you read everyday, and all the active commentators here at Rlslog.

I’ve received a nice letter from one regular reader yesterday who offered to help me polish the grammatical aspect of this site. I hope most of the posts are easy to understand, but this language barrier could’ve created some issues.

I would be more than happy to add more editors to the team to write fresh articles for our readers. Your ability to write about scene releases and/or tech news isn’t really important; all help is appreciated because updating this site daily is quite time consuming considering I’m just one person and I need to balance this with my real life and other websites. I might consider small amounts of financial motivation in the future.

Finally, I’ll soon be leaving to celebrate this New Year in the city. While people in Australia have already counted down the last few minutes of the year, citizens of Europe and USA still have some time to go. As for me, I’m going to celebrate by attending a New Years party with a group of my friends–we did something similar last year and had a really great time. I bought some fireworks, which I plan to launch at midnight (hopefully I won’t be too drunk and blow myself up :) ). I’m sure you will all have a great time as well. I wish you all the best in 2007!

Internet still not working in Asia after an earthquake

I’m pretty happy living here in the Europe, but the latest news coming from Asia would make me a little upset to say the least. Several ships were on their way Thursday to repair regional telecommunications cables broken by an earthquake off southern Taiwan, but officials warned that it could take several more days before Internet access across much of Asia returned to normal. Fixed-line and mobile international telephone connections were largely back on line, two days after the quake, with a magnitude of 6.7 – property damage was limited, but six of seven undersea cable systems, accounting for 90 percent of telecommunications capacity of the region, broke “one by one” in the quake and its aftershocks.

The cables link countries in North and Southeast Asia to one another and to North America, and the disruption has underscored the vulnerability of the telecommunications infrastructure that the fast-growing region depends on for commercial activity. Most telecommunications companies were able to restore international voice calls Thursday by rerouting traffic to satellites and to cables unaffected by the earthquake.

By the way, these cables are worth billions of dollars and are often longer than 11 000 miles in length, so imagine how difficult it must be to find the damaged area. Could you even imagine living without the internet nowadays?

Night At The Museum TS XViD-VCDUS

One of the most popular movies of the last few weeks is adventurous comedy Night At The Museum, which isn’t so different with regards to general graphics and special effects from all the Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones series. This very fresh telesync encoded in xvid was released by new group VCDUS, which states to continue releasing more rips for us very soon. And they should do so, because the quality is pretty good for telesync…

Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he’s destined for something big. But even he could never have imaged how “big,” when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history. During Larry’s watch, extraordinary things begin to occur: Mayans, Roman Gladiators, and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; in his quest for fire, a Neanderthal burns down his own display; Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher) pillages his neighboring exhibits, and a T-Rex reminds everyone why he’s history’s fiercest predator. Amidst the chaos, the only person Larry can turn to for advice is a wax figure of President Theodore Roosevelt (Robin Williams), who helps our hero harness the bedlam, stop a nefarious plot, and save the museum.

Broken Bridges 2006 LiMiTED DVDRiP XViD-QuidaM

It’s something like 20 minutes from the moment when fairly new scene group QuidaM released dvdrip of limited drama “Broken Bridge”. This seems to be an average mixture of drama and musical with Kelly Preston in the main role and not too much plot which could surprised or excite you. Fine quality on 2 CDs included.

Superstar, chart-topping recording artist and top-grossing live performer, Toby Keith, makes his feature film debut along with a notable cast, including Kelly Preston, Willie Nelson, Lindsey Haun, Tess Harper and Burt Reynolds. Broken Bridges is a bittersweet story of former high school sweethearts Bo Price (Keith) and Angela Delton (Preston) who return home after the deaths of their younger brothers, forcing them to deal with ghosts of the past and their uncertain future. Keith plays a country music singer who has fallen from the spotlight and faces life changes after coming home, reuniting with his true love and meeting his 16-year-old daughter (Haun) for the first time.
