A final dvdrip of comedy The Devil Wears Prada popped out just few moments ago. Althoug the first reviews of this Meryl Streep’s movie didn’t look too good, the final verdict shouldn’t be that bad – it has some nice moments in it and it may serve well as some kind of undemanding fun for Friday’s eve. The quality of this release is perfect with nice AC3 sound, don’t expect any nukes…

The story tells the professional adventure of Andrea (Anne Hathaway), whose greatest dream is to become a journalist. Andre gets a job in the fashion industry through Run Away magazine, the most famous of its type, to make ends meet. But Andrea won’t develop her writing skills in the magazine, but her talents as the editor in chief’s assistant, Miranda (Meryl Streep). The problem is that Miranda is a merciless, posh and cruel woman, making the experience a living hell for the girl. The environment in the place will be cold and extremely critical with the physical appearance. The girl will have to change her simple and plain style, for a more trendy and elegant one, in order to gain the acceptance of her ruthless boss and colleagues, specially Emily (Emily Blunt), her unpleasant workmate.

We’re experiencing heavy DDoS attack on the server running NewTorrents.info, RLSLOG.net and some other websites. This is causing timeout errors and other unexpected problems. I’m trying to stop this ASAP, but this isn’t run by some script kiddie, it’s a real deal. Please stand by…

UPDATE (20:25):

It’s more than obvious now this is a Distributed Denial of Service attack. This HTTP flood targets url www.newtorrents.info/rss.xml – which is normally RSS feed, but this time it’s just a static target of an attack and I had to temporarily disable it. The deleting of this file can’t help, as it’s really huge attack from thousands of IPs, consuming almost all net connection and server resources. I’m almost sure it’s lead from some pretty huge botnet over IRC, either by some competitors or some scene people. Here are two images, first one showing unexpected rapid growth of server’s traffic captured from MRTG, the second image just lists some HTTP connections – 95% of them are for one file…

One of the oldest scene group, ViTE, released just few minutes ago a new dvdrip of little unknown comedy Material Girls. This movie shouldn’t be bad, Hilarry Duff is still pretty popular and director – Martha Coolidge – also isn’t somehow new in the business. But the reality is really different: this is the worst movie at the IMDB at this moment. And that’s alredy quite something…

One of the best application for your PDA / Smartphone is now available in new version – Opera Mini v3.0. Opera Software says Opera Mini can be used now in new version 3.0 to easily browse and upload pictures to all online community sites, such as MySpace, Blogger and Flickr and securely using popular webmail such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo Mail as well as making all Web transactions safe, including banking or shopping on eBay or Amazon. The browser is optimised to reduce the size of data transferred to the phone, which makes browsing fast and cheaper for users that pay per kilobyte transferred. This is achieved by server-side compression: when a Web page is accessed using Opera Mini, it is first sent to a remote server where it is compressed to reduce the size of the data transferred before sending it to the phone.

According to Opera Software, “This compression enables the processing of Web pages on even basic phones and also reduces the costs associated with browsing and data transferring for subscribers of limited data plans.” Another feature known as content folding reduces the amount of scrolling before users reach the main content of a site. And the browser enables users to launch their phone cameras through their browser to instantly publish photos to their e-mail, forum or blog. It also comes with an integrated RSS feed reader. This is a must have if you are a kind of net addict requiring web access everywhere with you!

Just another quickie about new dvd screener of musical romance Step Up. This release by relatively new group Dangerous has nice picture, but these guys should learn a bit more about the scene standards, as I think 640×288 px really isn’t a fullscreen…
