200 Pounds Beauty DVDRiP XViD-MaRT

A very funny Korean comedy was released a few days ago. “200 Pounds Beauty”, the names says it all! In the beginning I thought It would be a comedy remake of “Shallow Hall” but it a little bit different. A fat girl gets a surgery and becomes a really hot chick. Her good voice makes her more popular than she would ever imagine. Soundtrack of the movie is based on nice old English songs. Great quality! Check the covers: 01, 02, 03.

PS. Don’t ask me where the fat girl is at, this is a surprise for you after watching 2 minutes of the movie.

Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ami, the famous Korean pop singer. Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body. Her unrequited love gets any return?

you gotta love how so many have such little appreciation for the work done internationally (keep in mind my opinion will always be biased when it comes to anything asian – the women are gorgeous). some of the best movies aren’t made in America, contrary to what many close-minded individuals might think..get a little culture in your system, watch something new, it’ll only cost you a hour or two, you waste more in front of the fridge wondering what the hell you wanna eat sometimes and really, is there anything really good out right now you can’t try this…

I bet I know more than u about culture… I love international movies, EUROPEAN movies. Asians cant act… the only things they r good at is karate movies. So please spare me with ur ching chong shit. By the way we should have more foreign movies on here, Bollywood had their share on here, Asian movies also… none Europeans? (not counting the British films, not a big fan of the British cinema, no offence)

    April 11th, 2007 | 06:59

Victor you say that you “know more about culture” yet your comments shows how narrow-minded you are! such steoreotypical comments like “only things they r good at is karate movies” and “ching chong s/hit” – Go troll elsewhere.

if you want more variety on here, than why don’t you contribute! otherwise most people are happy with what they can get.

  15. April 11th, 2007 | 07:00

Some other Korean movies you guys should make an effort to seek out and rent/download. You will thank me for this if you weren’t already aware of them :) Despite “The Host” being hyped so heavily, I think there are much better films that have come out of Korea. I was hooked after watching the first 3 on this list, and I’ve been keeping up with releases ever since.

    A Bittersweet Life
    Tale of Two Sisters
    Memories of Murder
    Brotherhood of War
    City of Violence
Once Upon a Time in High school
    Tell me Something (Korea’s “se7en”)
    Fighter in the Wind

Victor, the bad acting that we see is just a cultural difference, Koreans and Japanese are just like that and if you can’t get past the ching chong shit you’re just a bigot. Chinese movies have some quite good acting though and you have to apprecieate stories. There’s a lot of crap made like everywhere (see: My Wife is a Gangster ;) ) but there are some movies that I consider the best in their genres. Just see Oldboy, A World Without Thieves, Ichi the Killer, you might change your opinion about quality of this stuff :)

Korean movies are great! I have about 100 Korean DVD’s in my collection . Most Korean films are very well made and very imaginative (The Host/OlD BOY/THE PHONE/ARAGHAN/PRINCESS AURORA) and their comedies are very funny. I’m a little dumb when it comes to the technical aspects on these downloading sites and can never figure out how to get the subtitles to work even though it says they downloaded. I’ve read lots of FAQ’s and different tutorials but still can’t figure it out….and to make me sound dumber I can’t figure out how to upload a torrent or I’d share lots of stuff.

  25. Karl
    April 11th, 2007 | 08:33

Let me add my fave korean films:
    1. My Sassy Girl
    2. Windstruck (Prequel of MSG)

  26. April 11th, 2007 | 08:38

Azumi 1 and 2 were also nice films :D

  27. April 11th, 2007 | 08:38

    wow that’s a hot girl :)

  28. u235
    April 11th, 2007 | 09:23

    @NoVaDJ :
rename the subtitle files (.srt,.sub…) so they match the
    avi filename e.g.: moviexy.avi and moviexy.srt
    install VLC-Player.
set autodetect subtitles in Preferences/Video/subtitles dialog.
    open avi.
    enjoy.

  29. NoVaDJ
    April 11th, 2007 | 09:37

Thanks u235, I’m actually trying to put it on DVD and when I try to use VSO to convert the avi to DVD I can’t seem to attach subs. I even just tried playing the AVI file cause I have a DVD player that plays avi’s and that won’t work either. If I rename them in the above manner will it work on a standalone player? IT’s 436am here so I’ll try it when I wake up….

weird, can’t find this release on usenet :/ (but i see 3 others dvdrip versions with subs all released more than 10 days ago, look on korea.binaries.movies)

For high xvid quality lovers, there is a 3CD release:
    200.Pounds.Beauty.2006.XviD.DTS.3CD-WAF
    XviD 1.2.0 @ 1,728 Kbps Avg
    AUDIO INFO *** : DTS 5.1 CH @ 754 Kbps
    800 x 336 (2.38 : 1)

@Karl: love those movies too^^ (although way too much crying parts in windstuck…)

If anybody is interested, try to look for those movies:
    - S Diary
    - Marrying the mafia
    - My Tutor friend
    - My little bride (excellent!)
    - Ping Pong (japanese movie)
    - The quiet family
    - Please Teach me English
    - Attack the gas station
    - She’s on duty
    - The god of Cookery

    All very good comedies ;)

maybe it would be a good idea to also post about good asian movies in the dvdrip old section ?

    April 11th, 2007 | 10:47

is there a way to stick the SRT to the avi? so that when played on a divx player it would be playing with the subs in?
or does the divx player read .srt files? anyone knows about?

Wow Victor, you simply amaze me, and not in the good way. There’s a whole lot of better acting in this movie than Codename the Cleaner. I’ll give you a chance to watch that movie and come back here asking for forgiveness.

Like many others have said, if you are so self-proclaimed international, how in the world are you still so narrow-minded? Maybe you should change your handle from Victor to Hypocrite.

very nice movie, me like a lot! I don’t know Korean at all but really grew found of some of the music! Please, if anyone can find a soundtrack or something from this movie, link it! Specially the song she sings at the final concert as the fat girl, and Ave Maria.

@Eric, I found english subs in the torrent linked above. The subs contains both Korean and English language, so you may have to switch. Worked fine for me with MediaPlayerClassics and ffdshow with DirectVobSub (think K-Lite Codec Pack).
