2 Metal Music Videos from SRP

Here is something we don’t really do very often: Music Videos. Quite a few scene groups out there bring out quality music videos but so far we’ve only covered 19 here at rlslog. Thats why I thought I’d post 2 metal videos brought to you by group SRP and see what you guys actually think about Scene Music Videos. Every time I’ve posted Metal (which I live for :D ) there has always been a few haters followed by a counter-attack by the Metalhead army, so if you don’t like metal, just move on; its obvious we have an audience for metal posts here!

Avantasia-Carry_Me_Over-DVDRip-x264-2008-SRP

Here is the video for Carry Me Over, by Avantasia. This song is on the Scarecrow album which I posted about a few weeks ago (found here). I’m not sure what happened to Avantasia on this album, but this song is very, very cheesy (and not in an awesome fantasy/Manowar way). The song is pretty decent, but if you want a taste of truly great Avantasia I recommend you check out “The Metal Opera” parts 1 and 2.

Immolation-World_Agony-x264-2007-SRP

To balance out all the cheddar cheesiness from the Avantasia music video, I present to you the classic Death Metal band Immolation. This is the song “World Agony” from their 2007 release “Shadows in the Light”. The video is not too exciting but if you’re a fan of Death Metal like myself you’ll surely appreciate it.

    Not that I have anything against metal in it’s nature, but the music itself don’t really talk to me that much.. But that was not my posting-purpose.. I wanted to say that I’m really happy for you promoting music too, and I’m glad to se a big variety in music here.. So far I’ve seen rock, folk, rap…and swedish pop even.. Though one thing I miss though is…Trance…or any other electronic release, Obviously because I’m a big trance-head myself, and as I surf around on the net I’ve seen that there’s a lot of artists releasing new amazing stuff all the time, so it’s not that, there’s nothing happening in that genre. Only thing is if you (I believe you chose to post what you find interesting/you like)..or rather..if you have anyone in your team who’s into that kind of music, that is of course important. But as the trance-head I am I would enjoy finding some releases from that genre in here too.. That’s all.. Love this site no matter what though.

    @18 …I have to agree with @14…at least that’s what it looks like for me, who’s listening to the radio almost 24/7, and in school, people are very much into their rap/hip-hop/rnb too…It’s what’s popular atm.. Hope it’ll change back to rock or dance soon though..but right now..Hip hop is teh sh33t..wether you like it or not

    Keep up the metal Releases..
    No, Hip Hop is the most DOWNLOADED Music genre.. They can tell this because the track downloadeds from Limewire/P2P etc. However, Most people that download metal 1: Get Proper Scene releases not through P2P, and 2: Also will actually go out and buy CDs if they like what they hear.

    Metal is the most Diverse Genre you can get. Look at this Avantasia releases compared to the Black metal that was posted before. SO DIFFERENT!

    The Meshuggah-ObZen-Promo is out, maybe you guys should cover that :)

    @22 maybe it’s me being old…but have you checked out fx. Cosmic Gate (earth mover), Stoneface & Terminal (wide range), and Lange’s (better late than never) latest releases.. And even Markus Schulz (progression).. All fantastic trance-albums, if you haven’t heard them yet you really should.. Tiesto’s good, but he’s getting too pop-ish..

    @24..what would you say was the most popular world-wide then? right now? Here in Denmark (europe), where I’m from.. Right now power-pop or what ever they’d prefer calling it is hitting, that and hip hop.. but if it’s not hip hop or metal, what is the world’s favorite then?

    Wow… Reeged tried to head off such pithy arguments in his post, and they still arrived! Metal is fine with me (old school preferred), though the guy in the first video looks to ‘pretty-boy’ to be metal… I’ll take a listen at home… if I’m bored! :) I appreciate the tempt to fill the movie-void by posting something and at least letting us know the website still works :)

    Yep, nice idea to post music videos, but I would prefer to see only hi-def (720p) widescreen video. These would be really useful – a pity we don’t see more of them.
