17 year-old shot in the face by two hooded men

I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news, but I found this story sad and shocking enough to post it on rlslog. I don’t want to speculate on an on-going investigation but this could be a racially motivated attack. What I really wanted to do was just start some audience discussion, because regular amount of on-topic comments on posts here are rare, so basically this proves posting shocking news provokes more ppl to comment, but why don’t the ppl who commented on this also take the time to comment on other articles regularly ?

A youth is critically ill in hospital after he was shot on Christmas Eve. Police officers were called to the shooting in Garton Way, Wandsworth, in south London, shortly after 6pm on Monday. The victim, believed to be 17, was taken to a south London hospital with a gunshot wound to his face. He remains in a critical but stable condition. It is thought he was shot while he was sitting in a stationary car. Two suspects, both described as black males wearing hooded tops, were seen running from the scene.

Armed officers immediately searched the area and the scene is being forensically examined, a police spokesman said. No one has been arrested.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Trident Unit appealed to anyone with information to call 0208 733 4774 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111

    If you READ said article and look at victims picture you would see the victim is white and his name dosent appear to be inherently british, so thats proberbly why Mr X ‘guessed’ it may be racially motivated, as a very large percent of gun crime in london appears to be these days, weither the culprits and victims be black white yellow pink or rainbow coloured.

    And im going to assume something now..
    Perhaps Mr X dont post news stories about all the shootings in the USA coz he isnt in the usa?? Perhaps he in UK and saw the article on his rss or tv whatever, perhaps the USA staff would be kind enough to let the world know what happens too??

    As to your question of why people don’t comment on other articles, specifically YOUR posts (which I know is what you’re getting at), I personally am not a big fan of soft porn or any type of porn for that matter and the shows of which you do post that I actually watch I watch ‘em on cable so I usually just skip over the TV postings. That’s MY reason I don’t comment, as to why others don’t leave a comment is probably because they don’t like you :twisted: . LOL j/k

The man, whose name police have withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital & Medical Center, after he was found at 1266 Sutter Ave. Police were searching for suspects.

    Gunfire rang out in the Bronx around 8:15 p.m. when police said an unknown assailant or assailants fatally shot Orlando Clarke, 26, after he pulled his 2003 silver Nissan Altima into a neighbor’s driveway at 3239 Fenton Ave. His car was stopped and several shots were fired into the windshield, police said, striking Clarke at least once in the torso. He was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center. Police said officers found half a dozen 9 mm. shell casings on the street. No arrests were reported in any of the shootings as police investigated.

    Whats the big deal with this, If you dont like it dont read it, nobodys twisting your arm to be at this site. Many of you need history lessons as well. Most african black slaves were sold to europeans by other africans or were prisoners from african conflicts(meaning they were sold by their own people), a very very small amount were as some said “robbed”. And christmas day means nothing to most of the world which isnt christian, since the pope invented it in the 4th century because he didnt like pagans having their own holiday on the winter solstice. Theres hate all over the world, always has been and always will be.     Its funny how people react to facts, yet wholeheartedly believe in a God to which there is no proof. I never said slavery was ok, I was pointing out so manys misconceptions, which look to be yours as well. The first known civilizations werent white, and werent killed by white people, mongols, middle eastern, and asian people arent white as well all of whom have massacred millions throughout history, and the biggest killer of them all, his name is Jesus, and according to someone in these comments was black.     Well this IS under the off-topic category of the rlslog.net. Also, there are very rare occations that anyone would think about posting news from around the world. I believe, what effects those around us, effects everyone in the long run. Sure this place is good to find the latest and greatest of Movie, Games and Apps, but sometimes we really need to put the controller down and be very aware of what is happening in this world. Sure, Call of Duty Modern Warfare kicks serious ass, but It would would be VERY different when your up against the real deal. And that’s what it all comes down to; The REAL DEAL. So, by slagging this guy off for posting about a 17 year old child getting shot in the face is serious news to this individual, and believed it to be a valuable “Heads-up” of the world around us. Who knows, perhaps the two hooded morons played too much Video Games (MAYBE form RLSLOG, who knows?)and decided to test it out in real life. My suggestion, go out and take a walk every day for at least an hour in your life, look for a girlfriend and stop eating crap. When you come back, rlslog will still be here, with more to say.

    Police were called to Lutana about 1.10am (AEDT), where the teenager had been stabbed in the upper body.

    He died at the scene.

    The two wounded youths were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    Two men are helping police with inquiries.
