PLOT: Based on the short Stephen King horror story of the same name, 1408 surrounds supernatural writer Mike Enslin, an author of two hit books focusing on supernatural phenomena. As research for his latest book, Enslin is determined to check out the notorious room 1408 in a New York City hotel by personally staying as a guest in the fabled room. With the intention that 1408 is just a myth perpetuated by stories and rumor that Enslin has collected for his past works. However, hotel manager Mr. Olin has strong objections to Enslin’s stay and only warns him of possible danger to come. But Enslin is determined to go through and convinced that the horrific past of 1408 is just mere coincidence and a myth. But what Mike Enslin is about to experience is no myth, as 1408 truly is a room where the guests don’t check out by noon.

There is a 105-minute DVDR (after you cut out the several minutes of blank space before and after) on usenet that appears to be a workprint. No group took credit for it, but I wonder if this “n00x” release is copied from it. If anyone has the n00x version, see if there’s a color code at the beginning and strange audio dropouts through the movie.

great story with this movie,from the Master himself,which, as has been mentioned all over the place,really “felt” like a Stephen King novel….
havent seen this copy so cant comment, but the movies definately worth a look…no gory stuff though(for those who like theirs bloody..)but a good flick nevertheless…
the mislabled version posted here last week was very good quality, try that one its the best yet and vry close to DVD Rip standard

I can’t comment on this release, but the TC release mentioned by DevilsLaw, is of a very good quality. I Recommend it if you cant wait for r5,scr or rip.

I really love scary movies, and i really like to get scared, and this is based on a short novell by stephen king, so i kind of had great expectations of this movie, i thought it were moore lika a psycologic drama than a horror, i mean, The man doesnt belive in a life after this, and this room forces him to take a inner journey to finally realaise and belive, i thought it was good, but nothing more than that

Guys, this IS the universal TS, it’s a duped (stolen) source and renamed to DVDSCREENER because they are a bunch of fucktards. Should atleast tag this torrent as a TS to save the noobs a wasted download.
He’s right. It is Universal’s release. You can tell by watching the very beginning of the universal release you will notice when the MGM lion comes out the upper portion of the picture is clipped, the very same thing in this release.
From the sample the ivtc is clearly fooked, a simple filter covers alot of it but i think ill wait for a better rip than this.

From the samples it doesn’t look like a screener. More like a TC. Good TC though. But I’ll wait for a R5 or better.
