1408 DC DVDRip XviD-NeDiVx

NeDiVx continues their releases streak with a DVDRip of thriller 1408. I haven’t seen the movie so I can’t say anything plot wise. What I can say is that the quality of this release is standard for a DVDRip being released on 1CD with standard MP3 audio. If you want to see this movie and haven’t done so you might as well see it now since you get better quality than this (unless you download an x264 rip). Download and Enjoy :)

    Definitely a must-watch. This movie was a breath of fresh air for the horror genre. It was a return to mainly traditional effects rather than the bad CG-fests that plague most modern horror flicks. It’s got some nice creepy ideas and scares (some of which weren’t even in the original story on which the movie is based).

    don’t be fooled by some of the comments, this film starts well for the first 20 minutes, then gets SERIOUSLY boring, implausible, silly, and repetitive – typical Stephen King nonsense in other words

    would have been OK as a 30 minute Twilight Zone episode and no more

  34. yetisquatch
    September 17th, 2007 | 18:37

    dont be fooled by the above opinion. this movie is great. i wouldnt call it horror though. id put it more in the “mindfuck” category. no offense booboodandee…. its just to each their own.

    I have to disagree with #36, i think it was pretty decent.

    This is a good movie, with a good plot, and good acting. If you watch this by yourself in the dark you will be creeped out by this at some point. Plus the original story is by Stephen King, and i think this is a better premise than “The Shining”. Being attacked mentally and physically by a hotel room until you are forced to commit suicide is just fucked up.

    I saw the Telesync version 2 times and i will be downloading and watching this Directors Cut edition no doubt. The ending was a little weak on the original so i am looking forward to something that is a bit less cliche.

    Adding it to all the right categories might help with traffic regarding RSS feeds.
    If someone was monitoring the RSS for DVDRip’s they just missed out on this film.
    Try and get it right, some would say its more important then the rant ‘i havent watched this, so i dont know, you download’
    *sigh*

    Great film, but it deserves more than a vertical resolution of 256 pixels. Can’t they give us a _real_ DVDrip at 720*x resolution? This one’s 624*256 for crying out loud… :/ But again: Great movie!

    @15, @33:
    Thanks, but unfortunately ALL the files have been deleted. Looks like rapidshare isn’t such a cozy place for moving pictures anymore … at least not today.

  44. rapidremove.corp
    September 18th, 2007 | 16:47

    @43 drop:

    Real 720 px resolution – that’s what I am wishing for more and more.

    I already thought that a video bitrate of a mere 677 kbps doesn’t do a movie justice. Once a proper dvd source is available, it should be turned into at least a “2cd” avi of 1400 MB. Totally. But thanks anyway.

  63. Joel Rifkin
    September 28th, 2007 | 10:49

    This is the ending on this one:

    One alternate ending sees the backdraft engulfing the room as Mike hides under the bed, happy to see the room destroyed as he dies. Olin later approaches Lily and Mike’s agent at his funeral, where he unsuccessfully attempts to give back a box of Mike’s possessions and his tape recorder. Olin listens to the recording in his car, hearing Katie’s voice on the tape and catches a quick glimpse of a horribly burnt Mike in his rear view mirror. The film ends at the gutted room, with an apparition of Mike disappearing after being called away by the voice of his daughter.
