And a new big BOMB release from scene group H3X, here with Lupe Fiasco’s “Lasers”, his 3rd studio album due March 8, 2011. This is the album that all the fans have been waitin’ for for years! The long-awaited project features productions by Alex da Kid, The Neptunes with guest appearances by Trey Songz, John Legend and Skylar Grey. H3X ain’t slowin’ down for nuthin’. Enjoy y’alls!

Description: 2011 release from the critically acclaimed rapper. Lasers reaches new heights of lyrical and musical mastery, while aiming to reach even bigger audiences. Lasers is an acronym for “Love Always Shines Everytime: Remember to Smile,” and the album is a reflection of a 14-point manifesto the Chicago-born MC composed to guide him on the project, including items like “We want substance in the place of popularity” and “We will not compromise who we are to be accepted by the crowd.” Lasers features some of the most thought-provoking rhymes and concepts Fiasco has ever conceived, combined with irresistible melodies, production by the likes of Jerry Wonder and The Neptunes, as well as collaborations with John Legend, Trey Songz, and others.

    Just out of curiosity…. But for those of you requesting a zip copy over a rar copy (@9 & 11 specifically)… May I ask what the difference is? Both are (basically) free [rar is technically a trial but you never lose any functionality & there's a crack posted here - and if your getting music here, software wouldn't be too far out of your reach]…. Other than zip being built into Windows (XP & beyond), RAR is a better choice (IMHO) it can handle zip files (zip can’t do rar) & IIRC, rar’s compression is better than zip’s….

    @J i’ve had some Apple users complain about not being able to open rar files. i prefer rar, thats the only gripe ive seen.

    Atlantic Records seriously screwed Lupe over with this album. 4 songs are completely different from the rest and were a compromise that Lupe had to make in order to release the album.

    If he got screwed over like that, it was because he screwed himself when he signed his record deal. He probably didnt have a industry specific lawyer look over the contract and probably ended up losing much of his creative discretion when it came to his future albums because he didnt know or see the tricky writing and terms they use in the contracts to try and sweeten their end of the deal. After all, he is an investment to them, and they (the labels) want to make money!
