1048 (2007) TC XviD-AFK
We’ve been writing about this movie earlier here, so i wont go further with movie description. This is a TC version released by AFK. Also there’s another TC release by UNiVERSAL tagged 1408.TELESYNC.XviD-UNiVERSAL, but looks like there’s no difference between their and AFK release, only another name/tag (they came from same source?). AFK stated in their NFO that they are not sure which source is (neither TS or DVDSCR). Anyway quality of audio/video is almost perfect, watchable… Just grab yourself some popcorns and enjoy!

Hey my buddy is running McAfee and I cannot get Peer Guardian to work with it. I am sure that McAfee is the problem via Phoenix Labs FAQ’s. So what would be a good alternative Moblocker? Protowall? I could not find the main sites for either of the two and want to make sure they update their lists. Any help would be awesome as I have promised him I would hook him up.
Moblock is a linux alternative for peerguardian, since Peerguardian is no longer being updated for linux.
You can try closing McAfee while you are downloading, or just uninstall it and get a new AV program.
closing mcafee would let his guard down. and these days with all the viruses and trojans doing the rounds on the net its not a good option. use some other anti virus or security suite like nod32 or kaspersky.

of course there will be a better release later, but this is great for now. Usually these kinds of releases come at least a month later than this.
1408.TELESYNC.XviD-UNiVERSAL is the real release. Others are reencodes from the p2p dvdr .torrent. This sure is not ts as the sound is clear and sharp unlike any cinema rip. This seems to be a little lower quality dvdscr but enough good to watch. Closer to Little children dvdscr released earlier this year.
how do u know that mikky? If that’s the real release would the quality be better on that release?

I poited that universal is the only scenerelease and the only one that worth discusting. The other ones are same source, p2p releases and worse encoding. And surely the movie is not a telecine. Not whining just clearing some facts.

As you can see UNiVERSAL release looks like re-encoded & resized of AFK release. They both have same source: 1408.2007.DVDSCR.AC3-THS, 1.31 GB

Definitely worth the download if you are waiting to see this.
Obviously you don’t know what your talking about. Explain to me how could universal reencode afk release and have bigger image. Look at the edge of the images and you’ll observe more detail on left and right of the universal release (you can see the road sign on the right and more of the rear window of the car in left). And the source is the p2p dvdr that got released yesterday. And the THS is a reencode of the same dvdr and is interlaced, thus the 29,97 fps.
Check your sources or found new ones.

To clear up for anyone who was wondering about the source of the movie. It’s a dvdscr that was ripped not so good and uploaded to p2p torrent site at 16.00 GMT 27.06. The so called telecine AFK rip hit the net around 22.00 GMT and the dvdscr from THS later in the night. Universal rip only appeared 12 hour ago but seems to be ripped better then previous reencoders.

I know the group that encoded this and the source is actually a VHS SCR, as it says so in the DVDR that they used for the XviD encode! And could a staff member here please delete the comment from the douchebag who claims to be giving away the ending to the film!

goob, THS reencoded the dvdr at a higher bitrate. They could do even a 2000k bitrate on 3 cds if they wanted. Their video is not deinterlaced ant the playback is jerky. The audio thou is remastered to 5.1 channel. Anyone could make a 5.1 track from a 2 channel audio with Sonic Foundry SoftEncode or any similar software. Therefore THS is not better.

the quality is excellent on both audio and video from a LCD point ov view but put it to a disk and put in your dvd player and im shure it will be even better 9.3 - 10

Great Movie! I like John Cusack and pretty much all the movies that he stars in. In retrospect, this is the kind of film that you don’t need to see at the movies but should definately go and “rent” the DVD.

ok if u guys actually spent time on tryin to figure out whats a ts and whats a tc… u would clearly know that the afk is not a tc…. the univeral would b more of a tc then this one… just take a look at screen comparisons… the afk source is different… u can see more in the univeral source then this one
