Just a little update here so you guys don’t ask about this in the comments… THIS IS NOT THE DVDRIP, just a mislabled R5, which is a shame. The retail date for this is June 24th, so expect a DVDRip sometime in mid June, following the usual DVDRip release time frame. BTW iNQONTROL just got a nice new nfo, so congrats ;)

In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter, D’Leh (Steven Strait), has found his heart’s passion – the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). When a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap Evolet, D’Leh is forced to lead a small group of hunters to pursue the warlords to the end of the world to save her.     I personaly think that 4.9 imdb rating is a bit harsh this movie wasnt that bad, it wasnt great but better than alot of the crap released lately.

    I know it’s not a DVDRip, but R5 is DVD source, so its basically same stuff. Just not as good mastered probably, and often with Line/CAM audio, but not always.

    It’s a pathetic that rlslog uses http://www.newtorrents.info for every post they make. Haven’t you noticed that place usually doesn’t have the latest rls’ – i.e. like this one. What’s the point of linking to it when a good amount of the time it takes days for them to even get a proper torrent to show up?

    People should use mininova or other sites, newtorrents.info is a joke.

    I dont understand people who found that movie terrible. Like I mean, I know it’s not representative of the 10,000BC era, but still the movie is really entertaining, the special effects are awesome, the story is very good and the girl is damn hot. I like these kind of movies (war movies of old times, before the gun powder era…)

    Steve Strait is, I’m sorry to say, a poor actor. I’ve seen every single one of his films, solely because he grated with me from Xavier, and is without a doubt the most successful member of my class so far. However, he simply cannot act, not that he has had any roles yet that could challenge any serious actor’s talents. But still… disappointingly flat and unspectacular.

    Ok…

    Think of the film this way…

    Remember the original Stargate movie? (The one with Kurt Russell & James Spader), well basically the guy that directed that was originally going to make a trilogy.

    After it’s poor performance the actors and money lenders pulled out…

    Stargate was bought up as TV series. Which they then created an entirely new history for.

    100000 BC is also made by the guy that made the original stargate.

    With that in mind…

    I ask you to watch this film again. The clues are all there! (Rah left after a slave uprising aprox. 10000BC/ the stars of Orion point the way/ the pyramids are much older than thought)

    Basically I’d say that the director still wanted to make his trilogy but had to make them more stand alone films (no stargate tag).

    Especially with another of his upcoming films being 2012. The end of the Mayan calendar. Funnily enough they had pyramids and believed in spacemen!

    Anyone spotting the tie-in?

    @Kovacs—I dont often post that much anymore, but i have to say that you have a valid point and yes i do spot the tie in and will keep watching with abated breath, its refreshing to see such an informed input by an oddball (Not a dig!) who has obviously thought about what he has to say … and its about time some one had a valid point regards a film rather than the usual tripe which seems to be the same as any other review..     This movie i have to say was as boring as bat***t, the only thing good about the movie were the special fx and not much else. It was very hard to get my head around the fact they were using mammoth’s for the hard labor 10,000 years bc..and the acting wasn’t much chop either. When i saw the priest’s and the temple and the mammoths it reminded me a bit of the Mummy meets Stargate. I think a rating of even 4.0 is a bit generous maybe 3.5. But for those who like this sort of mixture enjoy.

    No way language was so developed 12,000 years ago. So annoying from first to last minute. Hollywood at its worst. Special effects + script mixing everything from Atlantis to telepathy and resurrection + hot girl = POS
    It is of course difficult to make good movies without loads of crappy fantasy in it. It just reminded me how good “Apocalypto” was.

    I Watched it yesterday and pic quality 10/10, but audio was little worse and sometimes the lowest frequency was fart, especially in music. Greeting!

    Why do you guys keep posting nuked and mislabeled releases? The appeal of this site is to quickly check what’s out, and to assess if it’s worth grabbing. If you post bad R5 releases with DVDRip in the header, I’ll still have to “filter” through the results to determine if it’s worth grabbing. The title alone should tell me that, imo.

    Other than that, love the site. :)

    I agree with @89. Its not a freakin documentary, its a movie for crying out loud, no, people might not of had a developed language system back then but does that mean that Jurassic Park sucks because there really haven’t brought dinosaurs back to life yet? IT IS JUST A MOVIE!!!!!!!!!
