I recommend that you actually read some research and believe it. 99% of climate scientists are fully behind the idea of global warming and the obvious causes of it. So just because it means you might have to give up your SUV in order to not start feeling guilty, it’s the price to pay for millions of humans losing their homes because the water is rising.

But if you truly think that cutting down forests, polluting the environment with toxic waste, relying on limited fossil fuels and blowing more and more CO2 and Methane into our atmosphere is perfectly fine and natural, then you are an utter moron.
I will turn 60 on my next birthday and can tell all you naysayers that global warming is not a myth. I have been to the Arctic 3 times and it is melting. I have seen it. Anyone living in Alaska or any Northern community can tell you that. There are many Scientists from all over the world studying this today. Their facts have been published and the results are conclusive on this subject. So to the naysayers when you become old and the air is bad, water is bad, etc, etc, etc.
Global Warming is propagnada, i suggest watching “The Great Global Warming Swindle” or “Global Warming Or Global Governance”. Both are free on google video, they show a more factual explanation of global warming.

Solar cycle cannot be responsible for the mass effect we have now. That cycle is not something new, 28year a cycle by wikipedia, I don’t think we did witness the Antartic melting every 28years…

Another thing, let’s say the last ice age happened X years after the Earth was formed. Now that there are human beings living on Earth contributing to pollution, the next ice age will probably happen X/2 years (or maybe X/4 years, considering how polluted Earth is now) after the last one. The fact is that the global temperature of 2007 is statistically the same as 2006 as well as every year since 2001. Temperatures across the world are not increasing as they should according to the fundamental theory behind global warming – the greenhouse effect.
Carbon dioxide is clearly increasing in the Earth’s atmosphere. It’s a straight line upward. It is currently about 390 parts per million. Pre-industrial levels were about 285 ppm. Since 1960 when accurate annual measurements became more reliable it has increased steadily from about 315 ppm. If the greenhouse effect is working as we think then the Earth’s temperature will rise as the CO2 levels increase.
For the past decade the world has not warmed. It’s an observational fact. Clearly the world of the past 30 years is warmer than the previous decades and there is abundant evidence (in the northern hemisphere at least) that the world is responding to those elevated temperatures. But the evidence shows that global warming as such has
ceased.

An inconvenient new peer-reviewed study published in the December 2007 issue of the International Journal of Climatology.
Climate warming is naturally caused and shows no human influence:Climate scientists at the University of Rochester, the University of Alabama, and the University of Virginia report that observed patterns of temperature changes (‘fingerprints’) over the last thirty years are not in accord with what greenhouse models predict and can better be explained by natural factors, such as solar variability. Therefore, climate change is ‘unstoppable’ and cannot be affected or modified by controlling the emission of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, as is proposed in current legislation.
These results are in conflict with the conclusions of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and also with some recent research publications based on essentially the same data. However, they are supported by the results of the US-sponsored Climate Change Science Program (CCSP).
The report is published in the December 2007 issue of the International Journal of Climatology of the Royal Meteorological Society [DOI: 10.1002/joc.1651]. The authors are Prof. David H. Douglass (Univ. of Rochester), Prof. John R. Christy (Univ. of Alabama), Benjamin D. Pearson (graduate student), and Prof. S. Fred Singer (Univ. of Virginia).
The fundamental question is whether the observed warming is natural or anthropogenic (human-caused). Lead author David Douglass said: “The observed pattern of warming, comparing surface and atmospheric temperature trends, does not show the characteristic fingerprint associated with greenhouse warming. The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases make only a negligible contribution to climate warming.”
Co-author John Christy said: “Satellite data and independent balloon data agree that atmospheric warming trends do not exceed those of the surface. Greenhouse models, on the other hand, demand that atmospheric trend values be 2-3 times greater. We have good reason, therefore, to believe that current climate models greatly overestimate the effects of greenhouse gases. Satellite observations suggest that GH models ignore negative feedbacks, produced by clouds and by water vapor, that diminish the warming effects of carbon dioxide.”
Co-author S. Fred Singer said: “The current warming trend is simply part of a natural cycle of climate warming and cooling that has been seen in ice cores, deep-sea sediments, stalagmites, etc., and published in hundreds of papers in peer-reviewed journals. The mechanism for producing such cyclical climate changes is still under discussion; but they are most likely caused by variations in the solar wind and associated magnetic fields that affect the flux of cosmic rays incident on the earth’s atmosphere. In turn, such cosmic rays are believed to influence cloudiness and thereby control the amount of sunlight reaching the earth’s surface and thus the climate.” Our research demonstrates that the ongoing rise of atmospheric CO2 has only a minor influence on climate change. We must conclude, therefore, that attempts to control CO2 emissions are ineffective and pointless. – but very costly.

Do your research meep. NOAA has clearly stated in Nature magazine, that there WAS NO HOLE IN THE OZONE!! It was a thinning and that NO hole ever existed as if it had the direct UV rays would have given everything a form of cancer and unless you were in a UV suit, you would have been dead in less then 2 days as you would have received more rads in one shot then you would having over 6 million x-rays. In fact it would have been equal to you taking radioactive material and holding it in your bare hands with no protection. so name me ONE person that has actually died from your mythical hole. Man’s emissions, are increasign the timeline of teh natural effects of global warming. Is man responsible for global warming? NO, and nobody says we ARE. Is man responsible for increasing it’s effects? YES! Is an also responsible for exterminating hundreds of species at the same time? YES!
Carbon emissions are a result of an economy and environments that WE created and one that is designed to constantly grow and use more. Unfortunately, while our system/economy is designed to grow, our resources are not.

If you would have read the link that I posted, you would have clearly seen that there are thousands of Climatologists that say you are wrong, that Mankind is having no effect on the earth in this GW crap as one Volcanic explosion places more GW product in the air at one time, then mankind has done in the whole time we have been on this earth. Even the US geological stated the same thing with the eruption of Mt.St Helens. Now since they and the Climatologist know more about this then either you or I do, guess who we are going to believe? And it is not you. Strike two.
Our resources are not designed to grow? Are you bloody serious?! Ever wonder why the lumber industry plants three trees for every one they cut down? Every wonder why we are designing crops that will grow anywhere and produce more then ever before? Ever heard of desalination plants that take salt water and remove the salt and make fresh water to drink…something that Israel has done quite nicely and turned a desert into fertile farmland? Oh and a by product of that is ELECTRICITY!!! Or about Solar energy that will be around long after we are dust. or the new 500 billion barrel oil field found under the Dakotas? http://www.peakoil.com/article36783.html or the oil field found under the great lakes that is 10 times LARGER then the Middle East’s COMBINED reserves but until now it was too deep to get at and would have cost too much to bring it up. Just these two fields alone will power the US for over 300 years!!!Not to mention completely reduce our dependence on foreign oil by almost 90%.
