Collectorz.com Movie Collector Pro.v5.4.1-TE

TE guys are back with newest version of Movie Collector, a popular software for organizing your personal movie collection. Highly recommended! For changelog check here.

Description:

Catalog your collection of movies and TV series on DVD. Including all movie data (genre, studio, release year, cast, crew, etc.), episode titles and all DVD details (cover images, subtitles, audio tracks, features, etc.).

Adding a DVD to your database is quick and easy, just type the movie title or scan its barcode. The program will then automatically download all data and images from our own online DVD database (currently containing 80 thousand movies and 100 thousand DVD editions). Other data sources include IMDb and Amazon.

Lists your movies in any order, either as list or in Image View. Group them in folders (e.g. by producer or genre). Use the Quick Search feature to find a movie in your database.

Browse your movie collection and start linked movie files directly.

Print a list of all movies or just a selection. Export lists to CSV, HTML or XML format (PRO only). Or export your list to the Notes section of your iPod and check it while in the DVD store (PRO only).

Always know who borrowed your DVDs and forgot to return them.

The Windows edition runs on Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Windows Vista, and is available in the following languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Turkish, Polish, Croatian, Italian, Slovenian, Swedish, Greek, Russian, Danish.

This one sucks, go for MediaMan, it’s much better you’ll see.
And you can view your virtual library with wooden shelves, export it to .jpg with a size of 8000 x X, and so on.

    Nice post though.

Very useful app, for all your movie collectors out there, in my opinion (talking from experience) its beats all other movie organizing software, its easy and fast, the only down is that it wouldn’t add movies just by searching the harddrive,an option in extreme movie manager, which i never could figure out fully, so i’ll stick to collectorz

Last time this was posted here on rlslog, I got it – and I purchased it a few days later. It’s actually THAT good. I stopped using dvdaf.com (which is f*cked up) – and I LOVE CMCP!

Still, I wish it was updated to update the IMDB ratings as they change…

what I don’t like at this program ( or maybe I don’t know how to do it )…it’s that if you save your list and you want to send her to other people..they can’t see the pictures…so what’s the point ??

  11. therapix
    February 5th, 2008 | 14:52

    @11

If you use mediaman, you cant export the list to an html file with picture + title + details you select.

    February 5th, 2008 | 14:53

so if its not as good as halo 3, then its diffinatly not better then crysis… right?

I never managed to get either of these programs working properly…
I will just stick to my microsoft word movie list that I can send to people.

I’ve put it online less than 20mins ago and currently it has 7 seeds and a bunch of peers. It takes some time for a site to update from the tracker. Even the fast-updating sites like TPB. But peeps have a choice now…
The one without the nasty MovieX tracker or with. :P

    @#9

seriously mate, the reason mac apps rarely get cracked is two fold:

a, there are far fewer of you and so less demand

b, if you’re rich/stupid enough to waste your money on a mac, then by the same reasoning you’re rich enough to buy software like this for organising your mac-only mp4 files that are DRM’d to the hilt and stupid enough to buy everything that the rest of us can find cheaper/free elsewhere.

    February 5th, 2008 | 16:06

is this fully cracked or what? theres been other versions that only let you add 100 movies. cheers.

Thxs. I’ve been using it since the first version. I have more than 5000 movies and series and every time is much easier to add infos since is more automatic. Great program if u really have many movies, and really fast to input your movies into. I recommend it!

  34. OrthodoxAthiest
    February 5th, 2008 | 18:04

Since @2 feels this sucks, I should dispute with my vote.

This is a good program, stable and effective. I’ve spent 15+ hours putting in details for my collection, and I don’t put that much work into anything I think I’ll use for a short term. Movies take 20s-1min to add, so don’t think the program is slow from my hour input number! It may have fewer printing/export options than therapix’s program of choice, but I’m not in the habit of distributing my movie list for obvious reasons (thanks RLSLog)! :D If I want a printout, then the titles of movies, and whatever else of the 20+ attributes I want to include is sufficient (personally, “Name”, “Seen” (Y/N), “IMDB score” is sufficient. :D )

So, since you can download here for free, give it a try if you’re in the market for such software. I’m very happy with it.

ps. to evidence I’m not an ass – the ‘mine is better than yours type’ – I’ll download MediaMan and compare to be fair. :)

    February 5th, 2008 | 22:06

It’s better movie label 2008 than this program, because movie label got a big data base, besides, the interface is better and the details of the information there is more specific, and don´t forget the loan manager, the connection with IMDB and the download of full quality trailers.

It’s a shame the collectorz.com info mirror cuts out after a while – it has great info. IMDb only has a line or two about the movie and a low quality image. Does anyone know of a workaround to keep getting the info from them?

    February 6th, 2008 | 05:34

I use imdb for info and DVD Empire for pictures, but is takes more time to add movies this way.
