Just saw this tonight, it was ok. Some funny scenes and some stupid moments but it was alright. To bad you don’t get to really know anyone in the movie, and when you think you do ; they die.
This movie is exactly the reason why I pirate. Low grade crappy movie, all hyped up and has no redeeming features. Luckily not everything that comes out from the movie industry is crap, I am more of a low budget/non mainstream movie guy since they have usually have more to prove and mean something more than good visual effects.
I would be upset if I actually wasted any money on this crap.
The same moronic audience that would watch Jackass, watches CNN and believes it, watches Fox and believes it ,plays America’s Army, and voted for Bush would love this movie.

Out of sync issue can be fixed in VLC (ctrl-k/ctrl-l)

i want to thank all the teams that rip movies for us but i have to think, don’t they check their releases if they’re out of sync. i mean its not that hard, just skip around the movie, i know its a race to release the copy but it takes 5 minutes.

Seconding the 5/10. Maybe even 4. This is one of those movies that just shouldn’t exist. A sequel of a bad movie made as a bastard sequel from 2 other stories? Pure lazy. Come on Hollywood.

Give me 10″badass” marines, a predator and ofc tons of aliens. The humans come across the aliens homeplanet but realise it too late. The predator is the only one left standing. He’s mission could have been to fetch a queen they intended to place on another planet for their hunting games.
He’s unable to repair he’s ship as long as the aliens keep attacking and guard around he’s ship. (The queen keep sending more out when one alien die) He’s only chance on survival is to kill the queen in the nearby hive. When the humans arrive he sees he’s chance to go for the queen as they might be able to keep the aliens/queen busy for awhile.
This may not be a very well thought out script but I think the smalltown scenarion on earth is worse. Cause we haven’t seen movies with full of helpless ppl screaming for their lives a million times before…
Any better ideas or scenarios for AvP movies?

The books and comic books were excellent, very rich material. I can’t understand why they were completely ignored to make this piece of trash.

@ n,interesting package, i installed it and i like it, beside vlc and mediaplayer classic, ffdshow which i use, nevertheless flicker won’t go away, i may give the video editing package a chance, really would like to watch the cam, it is not that bad ( for a cam) but the flicker ruins it

Am I really the only one here who honestly feels that this movie isn’t all that bad?
Maybe it’s because I saw it in the cinema so I could actually see what was going on, but I love the way the pred showed up and got right into cleaning up. While some of the plot could’ve been a bit better, I think they captured that small town feel rather nicely.
I’ve seen plenty worse movies.

Why is there a woman in the lead again. Didn’t the studio learn from the last one. It’s been done to death already and it sucks! Except for the original Aliens it really turns off people to the movie francise now.
The only good thing about this movie was the preadtor and alien fighting scences the rest was crap.
If they made the movie with the convict killing everybody then it would of been better that the first avp movie.

i am really a fan of predators/aliens and i tried my best to think of this movie that its not THAT bad but as hard i am trying…..this movie just sucks, it has absolutely nothing new or original and the story is a joke, the only thing good left in this movie are the aliens and the predators.
…after the first 45 minutes i thought the only thing which could save this flick from being total crap would be some kind of over-the-edge-action-filled-ultimate-mass-rumble-slashing between alienS and predatorS in that town…but since only ONE predator was starring in the whole goddamn flick, i already knew theres not following any better 45 minutes.
..actually i thought that just within the first 10 minutes of this movie “why the hell is there just one predator landing on earth and not a whole bunch ?” …..
..i thought they will do something real huge this time, like a bunch of aliens and a bunch of predators being in a mass-rumble in a town and causing panic and chaos there, that would have been something i could enjoy at least a bit and for sure wouldnt have been that boring.

The Klaxxon one wants you to sign up for porn before you receive the codec for this, or so it says. And the LTT version says that it is locked and you MUST install the DomPlayer for it to work. Then they tell you that you have to BUY the DomPlayer!
I just cannot understand why the R5’s of this movie and National Treasuer 2 and Alvin have not shown up yet. Especially since the release of National Treasure and AVP-R on dvd are set for less then 5 months from now. Either someone is sleeping on the job or there are no R5’s for these movies as of yet. At this rate the R5’s will be out the same time as the original dvd’s will be.

Umar, you are right; the Alien.Vs.Predator.Requiem.TS.XviD-THS is out…but what you fail to mention is this is only one or two steps above a cam quality. An R5 is almost dvd quality…MAJOR DIFFERENCE! Just like when we had one guy that claimed he was from London and that a so-called “friend” of his had a dvd of National Treasure 2, and when he was called on it to make a copy and post it, he vanished and never came back.
As i said, if there really was an R5 or a dvdscr of National Treasure 2 or Alvin and the Chipmunks or AvP-R…dont you think for one second that this would be able to be found with an internet search and that this would be all over the net by now?
You can say that there is a telecync or R5 copy all you want but I am from a state where you have to prove it to me. So as

funny how widely people’s opinions can vary. I’ve watched it 3 times already and am about to for the 4th. I liked the characters, the action, etc. It wasn’t the greatest plot in the world, but as far as entertainment goes, it’s a film worthy of my time.

As for the quality of the movie and it’s plot plus the insistent insults. Generally the studios know that merely having an alien or a predator appear in any scene will sell the movie. This nation was raised on good quality horrors such as my favorites Aliens (2) and Predator (1) and much much more.
As for Mr Right. You’re a joke.
America has put out more quality material than any other country! Ha! You don’t see barely anyone rushing to download some foreign movie. People want our American release, good or bad. Eat it.

It would’ve been a really short movie in that case, imagine acid blood flying everywhere melting everthing, laser blasts blowing everything and everyone to pieces, blades and spears slicing and impaling people, sounds like fun, everyone would’ve died in the first 15mins of the movie…
… that predator was the only one that tracked his fellow hunters craft and took it upon himself to go and clean up the mess… thumbs up to the brave predator. Good sci-fi movie.

To add, to be honest with you the only thing I disagreed with about this movie was the stuff the pregnant chicks. I can’t stomach anything to do with babies. Other than that it kicked ass.

this film is just awful.I love the predator films and the first two from the alien series and this film ruins the whole feel to the “franchise”. People should boycott it and if they have already parted with hard earned cash to see it, then they should be aloud to get a refund from FOX. If you like this film then you really do not know a thing about cinema. The SFX are of a sega mega drive standard and the acting is so poor that I’d rather watch Shrooms again.
